Imperative sentence is of one important category in Chinese statement type. It is rich in pragmatic functions and has a variety of expression forms. In the field of modern Chinese, there are substantial achievements of studies on imperative sentence, but related diachronic studies, especially studies of imperative sentence in ancient books are inadequate.This thesis explore imperative sentences in WuDengHuiYuan from the point of view of forms. Using the characteristics of form marks as a proper access to the study of imperative sentences, the thesis carefully describes imperative sentences marked by adverbs, modal verbs, verbs and modal particles in WuDengHuiYuan. And it concludes from the above studies usage characteristics of imperative sentences in WuDengHuiYuan and reveals characteristics of the times and development law of imperative sentences.With the apprehension of the context of imperative sentences as a premise, the thesis makes a comprehensive survey of imperative sentences in WuDengHuiYuan from aspects of syntactic forms, semantic features and pragmatic functions. Finally, the thesis comes to a conclusion that the imperative sentences in WuDengHuiYuan combine the characteristics of many different times, that the syntactic form of those imperative sentences is both a succession of previous times and a new development, that the semantic pattern of those imperative sentences has basically established a semantic frame for modern imperative sentences, and that in specific context the imperative sentences have a variety of pragmatic functions.
