On The Complexity And Modernity Of Hushi Literature Theory

Making Hushi's literary theory as the object of study, the thesis is to probe the complexity and modernity of Hushi's literary theory from the perspective of modernity.The main idea of the thesis is to define what is modernity in view of its obscure usage.Based on that,the thesis on one hand is to confirm the modern value of Hushi's literary theory and on the other to elaborate the complexity of Hushi's literary theory,with an analysis of the reason for the complexity from subjective and objective view. Four parts are in this thesis:Introduction:Hushi's literary theory's unique influence,the definity of modernity:Part One To confirm the modernity of Hushi's literary theory.The main idea of that theory is to establish vernacular literature by changing the language to the vernacular form,taking the theory of evolution into the field of literature and developing the concept of "historical literature on evolution".so it is completely different from the traditional view in the concept of literature, aesthetics, style and value concept, reflecting the science, freedom, democracy and other modern sense, therefore, modernity is Hu's main contribution to literary theoryPart Two To elaborate the complexity of Hushi's literary theory. Confined to the complexity of Chinese literature's modernity,the characteristics of complexity of Hushi's literary theory is that caught in the paradox "culuture as a vehicle","double clue "perspective on literature and the "unified vernacular literary",the aesthetic interest in theory and the political tendency in accordance with time.Part Three To discuss the causes of complexity of Hushi's literary theory from three perspectives:the cognitive structure of the subject, the theory of evolution and the reality.Conclusion A conclusion has been made in the thesis that the modernity and complexity of Hushi's literary theory constituted a literary achievement during the transitional period of China. It is of great significance to evaluate the modernity of Hushi's literary theory based on the modern Chinese literary development.
