In recent years, V.S. Naipaul's novels have been aroused great interest in readers and the related critics for reflecting the marginalized situation of people in post-colonial countries. The theme of his novels is very profoundly. Moreover, his narrative techniques and narrative strategies have innovated the mode of novels. By analyzing the narrative art of V.S. Naipaul's novels, we can see the essence of his novels' narrative art, summarize his inheritance and development of this art, and finally explore the origin of his unique narrative art.Chapter One analyzes the narrative structure of Naipaul's novels. He mainly uses causal narrative structure and dimmer narrative structure to arrange stories.
