The Narrative Art Of Orhan Pamuk’s Novel

2006Nobel Literature Prize winner Orhan Pamuk, was considered to be "in the pursuitof the melancholic soul of his native city, and found a clash of civilizations and interlacing ofthe new symbol, this unique cultural implication bythe attention of many scholars.Pamuk’scontribution to literature is not only novel of cultural connotations, but also bold in the textnarrative and narrative experimentation and innovation.In this paper, combined with the creation of Pamuk novel, read through the text, toexplore its narrative art of the novel, and then explore the new development of narrative art.This article is divided into three parts, first part is to determine the theme of Pamuk novel,Pamuk novels in the form of construction and theme discussed. The second part discussesPamuk novel narrative art from the four aspects of narrative structure, narrative point of view,narrative voice, and narrative time. The multi-level and multi-line and set the spatial structureof the arrangements constitute a structural model of its novels sophisticated and varied, singlenarrative perspective and narrative point of view the transitions between the formation of theunique characteristics of the narrative, Through the conversion of time-distance in thestaggered timing of the narrative and narrative to create a degree of relaxation of narrativetime, coupled with uncertainty on the narrator and the existence of the hypothetical reader,showing the texture of the complicated narrative skills. The third part is mainly based on theanalysis of narrative techniques discussed Pamuk novel extension of traditional narrative art,Pamuk in his novel writing practice, traditional and modern narrative art, something differentculture just the right combination of to form an extension of traditional narrative.In short, this paper seeks to Pamuk’s narrative art to carry out a holistic study and hope tobe able to analyze at the same time, provide some new ideas and inspiration for thedevelopment of modern fiction narrative art.
