Cosmetics has become an importent daily necessities in people's life, female is the major consumer of cosmetics.For female, the consumption of cosmetics is not only a material consumption but also an emotional consumption, the consumption of cosmetics reflect the features of female.Female cosmetic packaging associates with cosmetics and is consumed by female in the current economic environment. Packaging design of female cosmetic includes the design of fundamental function and it must meet the psychological and aesthetic needs of female.For businesses, packaging protect their products and conducive to sell.As the media of brand dissemination,female cosmetic packaging sends the consumer the correct message of brand visually, verbally, and conceptually.As the visual communication design, female cosmetic packaging design includes the content of culture,it reflects the value system of designer.This paper focuses on the analysis of female cosmetic packaging design.With the theory of communication, the design, production and consumption processes of female cosmetic packaging can be seen as communication process.Cosmetics companies and designer are disseminator,female is information receiver,female cosmetic packaging is communications media.The effect factor analysis include:First, through the brand theory analyses the characteristics of female cosmetic and the relationship between brand and female cosmetic packaging design; Second,from the angle of femininology and consumer psychology analyses the characteristics of female and it's relationship with cosmetic packaging;Third,with the theory of communication,cognitive psychology and semiology analyses the communication process of female cosmetic packaging; Fourth,analyse the characteristics of female packaging design with with the theory of design and communication.This paper will gives detailed analysis and summary to the characteristics, related factors and the design process of female cosmetic packaging design with the theory of design, communication and consumer psychology,so as to provide effective methods and theory for female cosmetic packaging design.
