The Study Of "Linqing Folk Tune" In Shandong

As the regional variety of music in Shandong Province, "Linqing folk tune" has been engraved with the brand of Jinghang Canal at the beginning of its production. Linqing folk tune was based on the folk songs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, combined with the local tune songs, ballads and integrated with other music genres, such as:Henan Zhuizi,Shandong Qinshu and so on. In this way, it is two or three centuries since it gradually formed and developed to a single body, which has the features of both folk song and quyi. Linqing folk tune is characterized by unique local style, fluent and rhythmic libretto, sweet and agreeable tune, ancient and classical idiom and a sustaining pleasing quality, because of which it enjoys great popularity among people.On the basis of the previous studies, the extensive access to references and the strict field work, this thesis tries to make the academic research by adopting interdisciplinary integrated methods, taking up the comprehensive study between the music and literature, history and current situation; it makes the macroscopic study on the clear and logical development, especially the spreading situation of the tune names of songs and the sequential relationship with other National Folk Music. It aims to analyze and research into Linqing folk tune from the national musical perspective.The thesis is divided into four parts on the study of Linqing folk tune. Chapter one illustrates the outline of Linqing folk tune's production and historical evolution. Chapter two introduces its ideological content and libretto features. Chapter three is focused on the analysis of its musical modality; Chapter four analyzes the representative tune names of Linqing folk tune.Through the above research, this thesis aims to reveal the important status and artistic value of Linqing folk tune, which serves as the precious heritage tune of folk songs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and one of the art carriers of National Folk Music in our country. Besides, the thesis also mentions the important role Linqing folk tune plays in spreading the popular tune in south and north so as to arouse people's attention and thinking about this wonderful music.
