Liang Qi-chao's Contribution To The Renaissance Of Mohism During Modern Times

This thesis tries to discuss and analyze the background of Liang Qi-chao's study of Mohism, analyze the main contents, discuss the Liang Qi-chao's contribution to the renaissance of Mohism during modern times.First part is to summarize the life and treatise work of Liang Qi-chao. To briefly illustrates the life and academic achievement of Liang Qi-chao. Expatiate the books and articles related to Liang Qi-chao's study of Mohism.The second part is to analyze the social background and ideological sources of Liang Qi-chao's study of Mohism. To sketch the background of history and academic thoughts. We could analyze the ideological sources of Liang Qi-chao's study of Mohism from the follows. Liang Qi-chao had the knowledge of Chinese Learning and West Learning, the preference to learn the Mohism, benefiting from the inspiration of Sun Yirang, excavating the function of saving the nation from subjugation and ensuring its survival, having the ambition of resuscitating the Modern Mohism.The third part is that the main contents of Liang Qi-chao's study of Mohism will be discussed. There are three parts:(1) Collated and Annotated the "Mojing", expounding the general rule about title of "Mojing". (2) The interpretive study of Mohism, including universal love, utilitarianism and economic thoughts, religions thought, political theories,etc. (3) Mo-bian logical study, introducing the basic concepts, the syllogism, deductive principles and induction.The fourth part is to discuss the Liang Qi-chao's contribution to the renaissance of Mohism during modern times. There are few aspects:(1) Constructed the general rule about title of "Mojing".(2) Initiated the paradigm of interpretive study of Mohism.(3) By comparative study about Chinese Logic, western Logic and Buddhist logic, to resuscitate traditional Mohism.(4)The significance of "the thought history" about Mo-bian logical study.(5)To discuss the realistic meaning of "Resuscitate the Mohism by the Mohism".
