Daily hassles are common daily stressor, which are some incidents, situations or conflicts that happens in daily life and bring people slight but lasting annoyances. People often struggle to cope with them or feel them out of control. Daily hassles have many expressions, such as anxiety, disgust, fear, depression, anger and other negative emotions, accompanied with some unadapted behavior and physiological responses, which may pose a threat to Mental and physical health, and finally lead to psychosomatic diseases. Western researchers have do lots of studies on daily hassles. But it hasn't the report about this area in domestic. Research on daily hassles will contribute to further comprehend the issue of mental health and the prevention of daily hassles.This study strive to do some research on daily hassles through many methods, base itself on Chinese actual conditons and make use of western researches for reference. Below are the basic ideas:To begin with, the theoretical hypothesis is constructed on the literature review, the open-ended questionnaire, the interview with the undergraduates and psychological experts'advices. According to the theoretial hypothesis, the preliminary questionair on undergraduates' daily hassles is designed.By the exploratory factor analysis of the preliminary questionair, we develop the formal questionair of undergraduates'daily hassles and verified its reliability and validity. Then, we analyse the characteristics undergraduates'daily hassles. Furthermore, the relationship between daily hassles and mental health is investigate. Finally, we explor the emtion process bias toward daily hassles by event-related potentials(ERP). Through three studies, we deserve the results as follows:(1) The Questionair of Undergraduates' Daily Hassles contains four dimentions with 26 formal items. These four dimentions are interpersonal annoyances, academic troubles, asking for trouble and future concerns. The reliability and validity of questionair verifies significant, and could be applied to measure the undergraduates' daily hassles.(2) The developmental trend of daily hassles looks like a reverse letter "U"in different grades. Sophomores and juniors get higher scores than freshmen and seniors on daily hassles. The development trend of interpersonal annoyances presents a reverse letter "V". Low freshmen, sophomores gradually increased, the maximum juniors, seniors tend to reduce it. With the grade level, academic troubles get smaller and smaller, but future concerns and the vice versa.(3)Gender, major and native place in the future concerns where there are significant differences. Schoolgirls worriing about the future level is significantly higher than boys. The level of liberal arts students concern about the future is higher than science and engineering students. And rural students higher than urban students.(4)Through survey daily hassles and mental health on 622 undergraduates, the results show that there is positively significant relationship between daily hassles and mental problems by means of correlation and regression analysis. In other words, the questionair predicts the level of mental health very well.(5) There is an emotion process bias toward daily hassles. Compared with daily uplifts and neutral events, the emotion processing of daily hassles has a emotion process bias on semantic process, cognitive appraisal and emotional memory trace. In about 400ms time window after last words, daily hassles elicited smaller N400 compared to daily uplights and neutral events in left frontal, central and central parietal electrodes. In 450-650ms time window, daily hassles elicited more positive amplitudes, which are widely distriduted, and mainly in frontal, central and central parietal electrodes.
