Researchers through means of interviews of event found that individual with high self-confidence will choose positive coping style when there are in trouble,as for them failure is only treated as feedback and pay more attention to work what they have to complete. On the contrary, individual with low self-confidence will be constrained by negative event. In order to provide more comprehensive evaluation for confident in real life and reference for how to improve self-confidence.It’s one-sided that, only use questionnaire and interview to explore the internal psychological mechanism of different confident degree in single condition of stress.Katrin and Matthias classified stress into two categories according to the time course of stress: chronic stress and acute stress.Chronic stress with persistent intermittent and recurrent, which is usually related to family environment,parent-child relationship, interpersonal relationship, learning pressure and other factors. The other type of stress is acute stress, which comes from some unforeseeable events,it has short duration and high intensity.Coping performance of participants under chronic stress can be measured by Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),as for acute stress, needs to induce the condition of stress through experiments and quantify coping performance with the other experimental paradigm. The investigation about environment and attentional bias found that someone is focusing on the dangerous stimulations, they attention will be impacted when they are in condition of acute stress: individuals have the phenomenon of accelerated attentional orientation and difficulty in attentional detachment to threat stimulus.Different emotional attentional bias shows different coping styles.Psychological traits difference has significant impact on emotional attentional bias when they are suffering stress.Individual’s responses to acute stress or unexpected emergencies such as task failure rejection and completion of an urgent task within a short time, someone’s performance of emotional attentional bias can better reflect the differences in coping abilities of individuals with different self-confidence levels. This investigation has two steps.Step one: compare different self-confidence levels of individuals’ stress coping style when they are in condition of chronic stress by questionnaire.Step two: Through the Trier social stress test to inducts the acute stress of individuals and explore the high and low self-confidence in this situation of emotional attention bias.Research explored that:(1)level of self-confidence has significant correlation with stress coping style,(2)individual who with high self-confidence use to take a positive stress coping style when they are in chronic stress condition, vice versa, low self-confidence will lead negative coping style,(3)in event of acute stress, two levels of self-confidence have different performance: after acute stress inducting, low self-confidence will experience more negative emotion than high self-confidence;After inducing stress, participant with low self-confidence,would first be attracted by positive stimuli,at the same time, due to positive stimuli that appears within 400 ms their attention would disengaging difficultly,However, for 900 ms,positive stimuli condition attention had disengaging easily and negative stimuli condition had dissociation difficulties, high self-confidence group didn’t has this change of emotional attentional bias. It’s indicates that the individuals with low self-confidence level are different from those with high self-confidence level in terms of their own schema and stress regulation ability.
