The Study Of Integration Mechanism Of "V Gei" Construction

As a subtype of ditransitive sentence and one kind of "Gei"sentences,the "Vgei"construction is typical to research while cetain research are made on the theme of comparing the "Gei"sentences. This paper takes "Vgei "construction which is used frequently in Modern Chinese as an surveying object, including semantic analysis, syntactic analysis, analysis of arguments of "Vgei"construction, grammatical analysis and the integration mechanism of "Vgei"construction which is a creation. Based on the precious research,this paper has an overall description of synchronic study of "Vgei ", and divides the verbs into six basic semantic types:the intrinsic type, the information transmission type, the parabolic type, the continuing type, the remote type, and the service type. We distinguish the different meanings of six verb types and the restrictions when the sentences they made are converted to other transmission sentences. Then we discussed the meaning and syntactic performance of the subject, the indirect object and the direct object. Then the characteristics of the "Vgei"construction are displayed.The second part analysizes the way of the fusion of the roles of the verbs and the arguments of "Vgei" construction which is based on the theory of construction grammar by Goldberg(2007). The fusion of "Vgei" construction can be divided into three types two of which are mismatches of roles of the verbs. Then the relation between the verb types and the construction are analysized. The connection between the construction and other relevant constructions is demonstrated.The third part generated the integration mechanism of "Vgei"construction and its performance in the sentence configuration. "Vgei"construction is formed by two events and generally become a fixed construction with its paticular meaning while it is formed and evolved in a historical way.
