A Study On Cultural Characteristics Of Graphic Symbols Of World's Fair Emblem

The World's Fair Emblem is one of the most important and indispensable parts of the World's Fair from its beginning. It is the cultural carrer and key image of the World's Fair. This paper intends to discuss the development, the function, the characteristics and the symbolic meaning of the World's Fair Emblem, to set forth the special design, the form of expression and the graphic symbol and analyze whether these agree with the theme and other aspects of the emblem, to summaries the characteristics of the emblem's figure. Meanwhile, this paper synthesize the influence of the cultural backgrounds, philosophical thinking, technological cultures and the trend of the designing thought of different countries, to explain the culture and trend of designing thought which supplement to the design of the emblem.In this paper elevates Graphic Symbols Of World's Fair Emblem to a high degree of theoretical knowledge through a systematic classification and anatomical analysis of cases, this paper summarize and conclude the emblem's cultural connotation from the five ways which are the symbolic character, the spread character, the compound character, the personality and the character of share. And use the authentic and full and accurate examples to demonstrate the views of this paper.
