With the gradual increase of digital technology products and the rapid development of digital image processing technology, our visual art tension has been extending unpredictably, and our life and thinking have been falling into real and virtual imagination. Because of this current situation, this paper takes the excellent pure 3D digital animation film as the research object. It studies the virtuality and the reality through combining theory with cases.In the first place, the paper analyzes and concludes the virtuality of the excellent pure 3D digital animation film form these there aspects: elements, image processing and the gut structure. And the above research proves that the virtuality is the most essential quality of the film. Secondly, form perspective of visual Art manifestations, making basic of sports movement effect, aesthetic logic and human nature, the author explores and reveals the reality in visual, science, logic and human. Then combining theory with cases, the paper summarizes the rules of the balance between virtuality and reality in pure 3D digital animation film. In the visual effect, the realism of picture plane reaches balance with the vagarious angle of view and camera motion which produced by virtual camera. In the movement effect, there is a balance between the nature of motion and the free deformation of action, the former produced by the simulation making system, and the later made by the virtual objects. In the story, there is a balance between the visional gut structure and the realistic elements which can evoke some memories or coincide with general experience of the audience.Finally, according to the analysis of the relationship between virtuality and reality, on the one hand, the paper finds out a way to teach with entertainment in the animation film. The way is using the vivid and exaggerated motion to convey the humanity, transforming the scientific knowledge into interesting virtual demonstration. On the other hand, the paper finds out a way to enlarge the number of the audience. The way is selecting simple story, developing the imagination and reconstruction which based on the general experience of adult audience, then using the vagarious picture frame and extremely exaggerated motion to tell the plots.
