Appearance And Formation Of Regular Script

This paper focuses on the change process of regular script.On the basis of previous concerning study, the concept, forming process and font styles of regular script are researched.The forming method and phases are introduced in detail.Different font styles in the whole history of regular script from its appearance to formation are analyzed,with demonstration by concerning documents or excavated objects.The significance of regular script to the establishment of modern standard Chinese characters is analyzed.This paper is composed of four chapters.In the first chapter,the present research on regular script is introduced, mainly including the traditional study on regular script, the argument on it in Lan Ting Bian Lian, the concerning research since 1980's as well as archeological results of regular script.In the second chapter,the concepts of regular script are defined, both in broad and narrow senses and the content of regular script is analyzed. In the third chapter,the forming process and different font styles of regular script are researched.In the fourth chapter,the features of the font styles of regular script are illustrated, as well as its strengths and significance to the modern standard Chinese characters.
