Art teacher education courses are significant to the formation of teacher quality. The method and education logos of art teachers have the same origin as the method and curriculum of the art teacher education from normal university.Research has proved that art teacher education from normal university is the critical period of art teacher career, which helps teachers construct their own knowledge framework and build development consciousness and self-confidence. On the contrary, an unsuitable curriculum will lower the starting point of normal university students' development and therefore go against art teachers' professional development, which is prone to ends up with abnormal development of own career or even worse.Therefore, what kind of quality an art teacher should have? How to help an art teacher to develop various life-long development abilities by the limited education? These issues are worthy of further investigation.This paper focuses on analysis of current situations and issues of art teacher education curriculum from normal university. The situations and experiences of teachers in the future and the relations of careers and the education from normal university are studied. Based on these, what kind of art teacher education curriculum benefits teacher's career, how to develop various abilities of art teachers through the education from normal university, especially the art teacher core module education, are explored in this paper.Firstly, this paper defines the concepts of teachers' career periodicity and teachers' professional development from general education perspective. Moreover, this paper analyses the bibliographies of normal university art teacher education and finds out precious experiences.Secondly, this paper summed up the structure of qualities that the art teacher should have. In this context, the papers summarized the characteristics of American and Japanese curriculum of art teacher's education. Then, detailed analyzed the Art Teacher Quality and Art Teacher Education Reform in" Art Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education(2001)" and" Art teacher education courses' Guidance program". Through the analysis of 10 training institutions program to summarized current situation and issues of art teacher education programs.In order to further discuss the above issues, this paper takes two fresh art teachers as research targets, describing and analyzing the curricula they take in university, the general situation of their leaning experience, and their teaching behaviors in junior or primary schools. The analysis focuses on: the cognition of visual art, the formation of teaching ideas, characteristics of teaching behaviors.On this basis, this study focused on the relationship between future of art education internship and professional growths of teachers and some of the key issues, such as migratory development, the cultivation of reflection ability and creative ability, the formation of the concept of teaching.On the basis of theory research and current situation analysis, this paper starts with art education curriculum and explores how to help the art teachers to develop various life-long development abilities in the arts pedagogy curricula. Finally, this paper predicts the tendency of the future development and look into the future of national normal university art teacher education. Some available suggestions are made to improve the development of art teacher education.
