Abstract/Summary:
In the course of literature creation, writer's psychology is latent, deep-seated element that affects the formation of work. It can be said that a thorough exploration on writer's comprehensive psychology which forms in her life course is the key to open out her writing style and the connotation of her literary works. Therefore, from the perspective of psychology, this thesis uses literature and art in psychology and cultural anthropology as a theoretical basis to explore the nomadic psychology of Chi Zijian. However, unlike her works which present directly to the reader, psychology is something obscure and windy after all. Thus, this thesis emphatically combines Chi Zijian's personal experience with her texts to study on the forming process of nomadic psychology and its special characteristic, demonstrates the relation between nomadic psychology and literature creation and elaborates the value of nomadic psychology in further, as well as its significance for literature creation.Specifically speaking, in the introduction part, this thesis briefly introduces the present research situation on Chi Zijian's works and the significance of the selected topic, and points out the origin of this terminology in detail and gives an exact defination to this conception. Nomadic psychology is a kind of psychology that recognizes and affirmes the existence of cultural differences and uses an open and equal attitude to different cultures, as well as a kind of psychology that using multi-perspective to look at the human survive and this kind of psychology was formed in Chi Zijian's trans-cultural experience. The main text is divided into four chapters. Chapter One mainly studies on the process of its formation and evolvement course as well as its special characteristic by combining with her trans-culture life experience. Chi Zijian has walked in the multicultural circumstance composed by Han culture, minority culture, rural culture, metropolis culture, northeast native culture and external culture altogether. Because of her trans-culture life experience, she was provided with this multi-dimensional reference system and she could get a better understanding of the correspondence and difference among those cultures by comparing one with another. Hence, she got used to ponder over all kinds of cultures as well as the survival circumstances of people who live in heterogeneous cultures from the angle of trans-culture.This is a comprehensive and objective psychology. This is a psychology with tolerance and openess, which was formed in her trans-cultural life experience.Chapter Two and Chapter Three mainly study the relation between Chi Zijian's nomadic psychology and her literature creation from various aspects. Chapter Two presents the embodiment of her nomadic psychology from her dual-perspective on village and metropolis. Comparing with metropolis, Chi Zijian has already found out the poetic flavor in villages as well as the evils in villages. Comparing with villages, Chi Zijian has already set eyes on the inhospitality in metropolis as as well as the tender feeling in metropolis. She unscrambles both of village and metropolis by placing them on the platform of comparison. This artistic technique is precisely the embodiment of her intrinsic nomadic psychology.Chapter Three studies the inner link between nomadic psychology and novel creation in further from her dual perspective on northeast minority culture and the external culture. This chapter is divided into two aspects. The first section elaborates Chi Zijian's appreciation of the northeast national minority culture and this is exactly the embodiment of nomadic psychology with tolerance and openness. As a Han Chinese writer, Chi Zijian has got rid of the stereotyped thinking accomplished in Chinese culture, made a vivid description of minority culture which is regarded as marginal and unenlightened in an objective open-minded manner. She adds extraordinary splendor to marginal culture greatly by her description of the folk custom culture——the basic necessities of life of national minority and the setting of literarary characters of minority. The second section elaborates Chi Zijian's dual explanations on northeast native place culture and the external Russian culture. This trans-culture thinking mode is precisely the performance of nomadic psychology. Basing on her novel texts, this chapter emphaeizes the influence of nomadic Psychology on the external forms of literary works as well as the embodiment of nomadic psychology in her texts by analysing such two kinds of artistic techniques as the setting of image of sino-Russia person of mixed blood and the images of rivers and building.Chapter Four elaborates the value of nomadic psychology and the value of literature creation under such a psychology. Chi Zijian's nomadic psychology has the function of self-cures and enlightenment to readers. This nomadic psychology formed in the trans-cultural life makes Chi Zijian use comparative perspective and stand in someone else's position to think about herself own in contrast, so she is out of the small world of personal sorrow, to be concerned with the wider world and life. At the same time, this psychology has brought to the readers of such a revelation: We should change our thinking mode to look at other culture as well as cultural life in different cultural patterns of people with a calm and objective psychology, respect and positive attitude. Thus the literature creation under such a nomadic psychology is one kind of atonement to the impetuous literary arena. In the conclusion part, through the research and demonstration of Chi Zijian's nomadic psychology in the former part, this thesis refuted the previous opinion that is an opinion about urban-rural dichotomy in the study of Chi Zijian. Then get such a point: From the perspective of mind, Chi Zijian's nomadic psychology provided her with a comparative perspective, trans- cultural way of thinking to interpret the different cultures. This capability makes Chi go beyond the dualistic urban-rural culture. Then, under the multiple frames of reference, she makes dual-explanation on a variety of cultural patterns that she has tasted.
