The problem of college students'employment has recently become a focus of society and college whose main factor is the employment pressure in college students'stress of life, which should be researched based on multidisciplinary involvement. Using psychological research approach to analyze the influence factor of college students'applying behavior can richen the instructive theory of college students'employment in modern society. The psychological research of employment has become integrated system info abroad. So it is more important to research Chinese college students'applying behavior based on the difference of culture and country's basic condition, while absorbing and utilizing foreign countries'research findings of applying behavior.Kanfer defines applying behavior as dynamic, rotative self-regulatory process, as a behavioral pattern which has a goal and is driven by subjective desire, which starts from discerning employment objective and works hard to achieve it. Sternberg proposes management science model of thinking type, who defines it as people's favorite thinking pattern which has recognition and personality structure trait. Huang Xiting believes self sense of value is self positive-going emotional experience whose recognition and assessment is as objective self in opposed to main body of the society as subjective self. This research focuses on the relationship between college students'thinking type, self sense of value, and job applying behavior, which richens the systematic research of college students'applying behavior, perfects instructive theory of college students'employment in an attempt to provide the theoretical basis which has important theoretical and realistic meaning.This research conducts cluster sampling questionnaire survey from Zaozhuang Science and Technology Training College, Jinan Engineering Vocational-technical College, and Shandong University of Technology, which covers higher vocational colleges and universities and colleges of undergraduate course, and has fairly broad representativeness. The questionnaire uses"Thinking Type questionnaire"by Sternberg,"Youth self sense of value measuring scale"by Huang Xiting (1944),"Applying Behavior Questionnaire"by Wang Tongjun and Si Jiwei (2007). This research gets 705 valid questionnaires, whose cruising data is statistically analyzed with average computation, variance analysis, regression analysis by SPSS. The main research findings are as follows:1. The latitudes and the mean of total score of college students'applying behavior is much higher on a whole, which suggests college students'employment awareness and activities are stronger. The scoring of college students'applying behavior differentiates obviously in gender, interschool, job experience, only child and source of students.2. The latitude means of college students'self sense of value are much higher on a whole, and differentiate obviously in gender, interschool, job experience, only child and source of students.3. College students'thinking type differentiates obviously in gender.4. There is obvious relationship between college students'thinking type, self sense of value and applying behavior. Thinking type and self sense of value can predict applying behavior, in which self sense of value has more obvious prediction.
