| The problem of good and evil has been one of the most heated discussions and it has received much attention for the hundreds of thousands of years. In the literature of the 20th century, the problem of good and evil was also the theme loved by many authors. The reason why human is different from other being lies his desire and demand of good. However, with the existence of good, evil has also become an eternal nightmare of which human can't get rid. How can human change from good to evil? The thesis mainly probes into one of the reasons that human's change from good to evil, which is the circumstantial problem of good to evil. The ethical judgment is a complicated problem itself. When making ethical judgment, people are always making basic attribution mistakes, i.e. People always attribute the behaviors of others to personality and attitude and other inner qualities. They have ignored the importance of their circumstances. Aiming at this problem, the thesis makes a brief discussion of the ethical theme of people's change from good to evil in the British novels of the 20th century from the angle of circumstance in ethical judgment. In probing into the ethical problem, the thesis puts the relationship of human, nature, society and others into field of vision. It discusses the problem from human himself and analyses the problem of evil and good when facing various genuine ethical circumstance and makes a three-dimensional probe into the ethical change. |
