| My essay is based on the research of "Relations between Literature and Politics In Mao Dun's Literary Criticism",with the balance of the two dimensions as the emphasis and clues.First,in the longitudinal axis,I have chosen the literary debates to be the main point and discussed the three ones -- the Debate on Revolution Literature,"Two Slogans" and socialistic realism in details,which are the most important controversies in Mao Dun's life.The leitmotiv of this part is to discuss Mao Dun's different expression and achievement of the two dimensions of literature and politics.Second,from the horizontal dimension,I have analyzed Mao Dun's "Literary Criticism Theory about Selected Writers and Works" from three practical aspects:the commentary on the popular literature,the survey of Revolution Literature works and the illumination about representative writers who are famous in the period of May Fourth Movement.And at last,thinking of the complex phenomenon existing between the two dimensions,which fully reflects Mao Dun's thoughts,I have explored the external and internal reasons for the two-way interwoven critical model from three fields too:the growth of Mao Dun,the influence from the special age and the national utilitarian psychology.The research of Mao Dun now mainly focus on the general theory of Mao Dun's literary criticism,the characteristic of the "Literary Criticism Theory about Selected Writers and Works" and the realistic ideological system,lacking the overall study in the relations between literature and politics in the texts.We compose this article just want to rich and deepen the understanding on Mao Dun's literary criticism,with the basic theory of literary politics. |
