| As is known to all, the relationship between literature and politics is a universal problem, which is involved generally in the literary discussion. And it is a kind of objective and historical existence. As an important aspect of social life reflected by literature, politics is not only enriching the literature, but also constraining it, and has became an essential attribute in the development of literature. Meanwhile, literature always reflects the social life, though sometimes it doesn’t represent politics directly, it also cannot get rid of politics. Because the attribute of politics is often be reflected in the works through the thought of writers. Whatever, literature cannot say goodbye to politics.To a great extent, the change of the relationship between literature and politics effects the change of the literary thoughts. It is often displayed on the recognization and definition of literary essence at first. In fact, the politics in ancient times is a kind of ethical politics because of the influence of the social and history. The Chinese traditional literature is a kind of "big literature", which merges the literature, history, philosophy, and politics, so it inevitably involves the ethical color. And the people usually know about literary essence from the perspective of ethics. In modern times, literature gradually gets rid of the bondage of ethics, and combines with politics. The people start to know about literary essence from the perspective of social political function, and make it further. Since the1900s, especially the "literary revolution", the relationship between the literary and politics has a complicated change. It is about three stages:the period of combination, the period of alienation, and the period of harmony. Accordingly, there are also different theories in every stage as the result of the different understanding of literary essence, such as,"the theory of Literary Ideology","the Aesthetic theory of Literature","the theory of Form Ontology", and "the theory of Aesthetic Ideology", and so on.The change of the relationship between literature and politics affects the views of literary theories, so we can take it as a view and an aspect to come to understand the varying situation of the literary theories. To proceed from this point, this thesis chooses "the theory of Literary Ontology" as the breakthrough point to analyze their relationship, and try to make it clear. |
