For Hebei College Public Arts Education Survey And Research

The public art education in college is indispensable to quality education of all-round development, it's an irreplaceable role in the quality education to students. The paper studies the status of the public art education in colleges of Hebei Province. The author researched the status through interviews, questionnaires, etc, obtained the firsthand information about Public art elective courses at colleges and the University Students of fine arts literacy and so on. The research found that the majority of colleges and universities in Hebei Province have opened some public art elective courses, but the effects are not very satisfactory. Most college students still are lack in knowledge about art, their aesthetic capacity is very limited.I try to find the reasons which bring on this status from the history, "Pragmatism" thought, Global cultural integration of post-colonial Context, philistinism Prevailing in social and cultural , The National Educational Testing Policy, the status of Public art education at colleges ,The lack of teachers , Misunderstanding of art, Teaching the form of a single and so on make-depth analysis of the status .For the crux of the problem, this paper presents: the public art education in college should have a clear Value Positioning; should attach importance to the traditional arts and culture heritage and development; to fully strengthen Hebei Province public art education at colleges of the institution-building; should build a discipline system of college public art education; speed up the college of public art education teacher team-building; expand college public art education in the form; creating a good art atmosphere; actively to eliminate the public's misunderstanding of public art education; as soon as possible, "National Higher Education curriculum guide public art program."Through the expatiation of the paper, it has important meaning for improving higher public art education's level of Hebe province, promoting the quality all-around of students, sufficing social desires to students and developing traditional culture, strengthening national self-respect etc.
