As the core issues of researches on teachers,occupational burnout has grown to be the common focus area in educational and psychological field in recent years. Therefore,it is extremely urgent to have a research on the occupational burnout of advanced technical teachers.In the past few years,when researching on the occupational burnout,scholars became to put more concentrations on the effects of individual self-efficacy,but,till now,there is no specialized research on the correlations between self-efficacy and occupational burnout of advanced technical teachers.This research aims to investigate the overall performances and differences of advanced technical teachers' self-efficacy and occupational burnout,and thus to probe into the factors influencing the occupational burnout of advanced technical teachers,especially the potential impact of self-efficacy on occupational burnout of teachers.It provided the ways and the references to prevent and alleviate the occupational burnout in advanced technical teachers effectively,and also the theoretical foundation and practical guidance for the effective ways and strategies of advanced technical teachers' training,and finally to help the teachers to make real progress of their professional levels.In this study the method of questionnaire was used to research the characters and correlations between self-efficacy and occupational burnout.By random sampling, 500 advanced technical teachers of four vocational colleges in Chongqing City were investigated.The acquisition data processed by the SPSS13.0 statistical software showed that:1.The advanced technical teachers have high self-efficacy and inconspicuous occupational burnout.2.The dimension of personal accomplishment of self-efficacy is positive correlations with the one of occupational burnout.It is a good prediction of the dimension of personal accomplishment in advanced technical teachers' occupational burnout.3.In advanced technical teachers,an educational degree has significant impacts on emotional exhaustion;professional title and the course teaching have great effect on depersonalization;self-efficacy and age vigorously influnced the low personal accomplishment.According to the researching results above,this paper has provided the strategies to promote the self-efficacy and relieve the occupational burnout of advanced technical teachers.
