| After the First World War, the international situation has been changed; France and Britain had different standpoints toward the security of Europe because of different interests and different strategies of diplomacy.The United Kingdom believed that there was no threat of war in Europe in the view of maintaining certain equilibrium and delivering native economy. Britain could cope with affair of empire and create a better condition in order to developing economy. While France believed that in Europe there were still a lot of security risks. Germany had not only strong potential power, but also posed threat on safety of France, although Germany had lost the war. France was once again faced with aggression danger, therefore, the maintenance of border security in France as a top priority.The body of this article is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is mainly about the safety requirements proposed by France during the period in Paris and about the Anglo-French security agreement on the negotiations. The relationship between the British and French mainly cooperative, relations are partial friction. Although France and Britain on security issues in Europe had a lot of differences, but Britain did not directly reject the France's security requirements because the British and French had common interest on the problems of the Near East, economic and other issues. "Geneva Protocol" is an exploration of security issues between the British and French, it is in line with the wishes of France, but because of economic, diplomatic and Geneva's own problems, and other problems, eventually the United Kingdom refused to receive protocol. Through final proper consultation, Britain and France reached a preliminary consensus in the Locarno Meeting. They unlined the Joint European countries to conclude the "Locarno Convention", the security problems of French were been resolved to some extent. |
