Christian civilization on the impact of the Western world has always been the focus of attention on the issue of academic. Religious policy and the relationship between Church and State is an important element of political and cultural life in the Middle Ages. Therefore, exploring the positive interaction of them has a certain theoretical and practical significance on building of a harmonious relationship between the Church and harmonious society.This dissertation makes an attempt in this direction by investigating, from Constantine's christian policy and church-state relation. It consists of three chapters. Chapter one examines the religious foundation of the Roman Empire.Unification of the Roman Empire makes the political situation of the imperial politics of religion as a supplement, and the formation of a social atmosphere conducive to religious belief. With the old philosophy of law and order increasingly lagging behind the trend of the times when the decline will be,the community needs and calls for a new religion.Chapter two explores the christian policies of Constantine phased period of time. The rule of pre-Constantine, based on social status at that time, eschew religious tolerance. Unified empire during civil war, it is gradually cleared to his religious policies, supporting Christian publicly. Reunification of the empire, the dictatorship of the maintenance of the monarchy period, Constantine controls Christianity, making it a tool for imperial autocracy.Chapter three dissertates the establishment of the principle of Church-state relations and the impact of the Middle Ages. During the tine of Constantine, the church showing a new form, that is, the Christian Church with a tendency for Christian country integrated together. The mode of Church and State Relationship formed during this period, has a profound impac in the future.This dissertation holds that religious policies and the establishment of the principle of church-state relations of Constantine meet the needs of politics, the Church of the official organizated immediately, and the church makes an appropriate adjustment in accordance with the political need.
