A Research On The Psychological Qualities In Outdoor Environment Of Community And The Residential Satisfaction

From the previous literature review and studies,the concept of the psychological qualities in environment is proposed and explored in this study,which will be summarized in four factors: "community attachment","sense of security","privacy" and "comfort".Through systematic research model,the significant correlation between psychological qualities and residents' satisfaction in term of the environment has been verified.And the further exploration shows that the four factors of psychological qualities are also correlated with residents' satisfaction,in which residents' "community attachment" and "comfort" are two important factors influencing the residents' satisfaction significantly.Thus,the "community attachment" and "comfort" need to be concerned and emphasized to improve residents' overall satisfaction with their living environment.In this research,the subject of residential environment - people,will be considered as the first factor in the environment construction.Thus,residents' psychological perception with the environment could be much concerned in the environmental design in order to make the residential environment more appropriate for living.In the new era of the communities' construction,the psychological qualities index needs to be improved to keep the residents a healthy emotional status, and to make people and the environment properly interacted.And it will be a long term impact on the construction of a harmonies society in the new era.
