Study On Mencius Ideology In The Republic Of China

To enter the Republic of China, Study on Mencius Ideology was lower than it in Qing Dynasty, mainly manifested in the voluminous writings did not come out. However, due to the development of modern newspapers, the number of papers on Mencius Ideology is quite good. In my opinion, from 1915 to 1948, there were 186 papers on Mencius Ideology published, and these papers did not just follow the traditional academic route to re-organize.Because these papers accepted the advanced Western academic ideas and methods, study on Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China showed different things.So study on Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China had huge significant and value.Thesis is divided into seven parts. Introduction is the first part which is mainly about defination of Mencius Ideology and the history of Mencius Ideology, the status of Mencius Ideology as well as the significance of its development.In the second part is the statistics of Literature on Mencius Ideology. According to the statistics of the publication of Literature on Mencius Ideology, the publication of papers on Mencius Ideology and the publication of works on Mencius Ideology, I conducted Literature on Mencius Ideology preliminarily.The third part is the study of the life of Mencius and the research of Mencius.The content of this part is the studiy of the clarification of works on Mencius Ideology,which still use traditional methods in the Republic of China. According to the study of the life of Mencius and the research of Mencius, I try to reflect the development of the academic in the Republic of China.Partâ…£is divided into two parts mainly about the study of the thoughts of Mencius. Partâ… is the the study of the core concept. Partâ…¡is mainly about the new defination of the thoughts of Mencius. In the Republic of China, various Western philosophy go hand in hand and the modern academic subjects are basically in shape, so research in Mencius Ideology was different from the previous generation and the categories were more detailed. According to the study of this part, I try to reflect the differences of Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China,which was in the new era and the ideological background. Part V is the study of the relation of Mencius Ideology and the society. In this section,I try to break through the limitations and attempt to conect the study of Mencius Ideology and the society together. I try to clarify the interaction between the two. And the most important feature of the academic development in the Repubilc of China is that more and more scholars wanted to do something good to the society. Therefore this part is necessary.Part VI is the case study. This section is added on the basis of the previous sections. Through the anatomical study of The New Study of Mencius Theory ,which was written by Ma Shaobo,to reflect the traits of Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China. From one aspect, this work was the ultimate expression of academic of the Republic of China. At that time , the War of Resistance Against Japan broke up. For the purpose of the political propaganda, Ma Shaobo attached Mencius Theroy to Sun Yat-sen's "Three People's Principles". Nevertheless, this book is very unique.Part VII is epilogue. Though the systematic study of Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China ,I learn about the characteristics of Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China: First , Western philosophy was introducd and used ; Second , people had a scientific attitude and no longer blindly believe in Mencius Theory ; Third , Instrumentelle Rationalitaet became more and more important . Overall, Mencius Ideology had changed greatly in the Republic of China . Although the study with the traditional classics was the same , but the specific content had changed dramatically. Though the research of Mencius Ideology in the Republic of China, we could know the change and the development of academic in the Republic of China clearly.
