Tianzhen is in the north of Shanxi province.In the《Chinese Language Atlas》, Tianzhen dialect belongs to the DaBao part of Jin language,which has the general characters of Jin languages.But it also has some differences from Jin languages.The dialect of DingJiayan,Tianzhen city,is the investigated subject of this thesis.The thesis described the phonetic,glossary,grammar system and phonetic characteristics comprehensively,collected some special words.And analyse some special grammar phenomena.Althrough professor Xie has writen the book to describe the dialect,most of his record is about the city's outdated dialect,while DingJiayan dialect coming from east of Tianzhen is systematic surveyed and investigated in this paper. the realistic meaning of this survey is due to different time and location.Therefore,this investigation have practical significance.In the aspect of phonetics,this thesis introduced the phonology and its features comprehensively.It also carefully analyzed the characteristics of pronunciation phenomenon,for example:read-difference,the relations between initials finials and tones comparisons with the phonetic sounds of medieval times and so on.In this thesis I also writed analysis of article white variant pronunciation,sub-syllable word and combination tone wordand.At last I gathered the characters of the same pronunciation.On the vocabulary,this thesis mainly showed some special words with suitable explanations.The thesis studies the Tianzhen dialect specializedly and systemicly with the ways of delineation and contrast.Such as usage of characteristic prefixes"ge,hu,ri",usage of characteristic verb "tai",The structure of the usage of "X dong",Usage of components of "jia" and so on.And in this thesis I choose some proverb of TianZhen to demonstrate cultural custom.
