| After the Opium War, the western Christ priest rides the colonialism combat tank to intrude China, and then a series of missionary cases takes place. The missionary cases that take place in the late of Qing Dynasty are the important parts of Chinese missionary cases, and they also play an important role in the cultural exchange history, the foreign relations history and the social history in modern China. Studying the missionary cases that takes place in Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty is helpful to evaluate the spread of missionaries and Christian churches objectively, understand the impact of Christian churches to modern Northeast China fully, and make clear of the status and changes of modern Northeast China. Besides, it is also helpful to study modern Chinese history and modern world history deeply, which makes sense in both theory and practice.which are also the main content that this article plans to discuss.This article tries to study the three questions as follows. Firstly, it will study the spread survey of the church and the relationships between the missionary cases and the unequal treaties in Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty; Secondly, it will study the number, the reasons, the development stages and the characteristics of the missionary cases that take place in Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty; Thirdly, it will study the nature and impact of missionary cases that take place in Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty. This article is divided into five chapters.The introductory part introduces the research idea, the relevant research and the main material outline of this article. Besides, the innovation and the writing outlines are also included.The first chapter introduces the relationships between the Powers and the missionary cases of Northeast China, and also explains the main factors that cause the occurrence of the missionary cases of Northeast China from the followings, such as the relationships between the unequal treaties and the missionary cases, the aggressive behaviors of the northeast churches and the impact that the war brings to the people. The second chapter surveys the reasons of the missionary cases from the socio-cultural perspectives of Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty. As a kind of foreign culture, Christianity is contrary to the Confucian ethic, and it is opposed by the official, gentry and common people. In addition, the unstable society and the occurrence of all kinds of social problems that affect the churches are also the main reasons.The third chapter which is based both on the grasping the origin and development of the missionary case and on the quantification analysis of Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty straightens out the trend of the development of missionary cases, then divides them into four stages, and analyses them by period. The author considers that the number of missionary cases increases year by year from the initial (1861-1873), the development (1874-1890) to the climax (1891-1900). In the end, after the Boxer Movement is suppressed, the missionary cases of Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty get down. And it summarizes the characteristic of missionary cases that takes place in Northeast China in the late Qing Dynasty in order to recognize the complexities of them. The summary is based on the objective analysis of missionary cases and the comparison with other provinces.The fourth chapter affirms all kinds of classes'struggles of anti-Christianity are both anti-patriotic and anti-imperialist. Combing with the specific circumstances of the Northeast China, the chapter also points out that the lower people's struggles of anti-Christianity plays positive influence, and it is also limited. |
