The basic education of Art design is a forward training opening up to excellent designers. The learning of basic curriculum is not only a bridge to professional design, but also the key to develop the basic diathesis and creativity of a designer.The research on the basic curriculum setting of Art Design in this thesis is just coming from mentioned education philosophy above, which deeply analyzes curriculum objectives, and discusses how to choose, organize and negotiate the curriculum contents.The writing of this article is based on how to develop the Design practitioners' primary diathesis, attitude, values, designing thinking and consciousness which a professional designer should possess at the basic design phrase through the basic curriculum study, in order to lay a good foundation for their design career. At present, the reformation in basic design courses of art has acquired some achievement, but it is only focused in few advance art and design college, we need to go on studying and deepening the research to adapt to the urgent require of most art colleges and departments for the development of Art design basic curriculum., and finally let the design education to serve the developing needs of the current society.According to the spirit on deepening the education reformation and pushing the diathesis education initiated by our country, using the scientific research methods to the modern education, especially modern course theory, and at the same time, combining with a four-year study and the practice at the art design, the author deeply analyzed the evolution of the basic curriculum of Art Design and some typical domestic art colleges of art design professional status of the basic curriculum in China , At the same time, the author used the analysis and synthesis method, Summarized and summed up with something in common, explored the inevitable trend of the reform and development of the Basic curriculum, paid attention to the theoretical Study and empirical Study, and combined the literature research and investigation research. Field survey the analysis, the teacher and student exchange of ideas, even the information feedback of the market design will become the cornerstone of this study.At present, the theory of the basic curriculum of Art Design is still under development and reminds to be improved. Based on the construction and the results of reform in the domestic teaching of Art Design, This thesis studies and explores further, in order to adapt to the need of modern designed education and the requirement of reform in basic curriculum.The paper is composed of five chapters:Chapter I: Introduction. This part analyzes the background, theoretical and practical value of this study; clearly defines the scope of the study and the main concepts of this thesis and clears up the existing related literature and at last, illustrate the ideas and the research methods of the thesis.Chapter II: The status and problems of basic curriculum setting of Art design.Through historical data collection, organization, summarization, analysis, the thesis starts from the analysis of the concept of education in nurturing and evaluating of development, introduces the evaluating of the basic curriculum development from four phrase, and clarifies the basic skeleton and situation of Art Design' basic curriculum of China. This part points out that the art design education today is still in its elementary stage of development from the perspective of historical evaluation. Its professional characteristics, as well as the laws of the development have to be further explored.Through the college of art design on the current professional status of basic education curriculum analysis and the survey to the situation of the basic curriculum setting in related art design colleges, the author finds out the existing questions of basic curriculum in current art design College: Such as: the single basic curriculum objectives, isolated; fragmented curriculum structure; Too much emphasis on the knowledge and skills-oriented of basic curriculum content. The main reasons are the lack of the guiding of scientific curriculum theory, the curriculum system can not keep up with the development of curriculum, the unsuccessful of the introduction of curriculum.Chapter III: Discussion on the basic curriculum target of art design.The author studies and analyzes from the need to aim to establish the basis of quality education, the quality of general education and culture in modern society requirements that three main factors analysis, Points out that the requirements of a suitable time for the people's physical and mental development of the major foundation of Art and Design Curriculum Should be a complete system which integrates three dimensions: the knowledge and skills ,the process and methods, emotional attitudes and values.Chapter IV: exploration to the major principles of the basic curriculum, structure and content of Art design.Curriculum should be based on adaptive, practical, comprehensive principle, and be from the vertical structure and horizontal structure of both the basic curriculum to study the structure of the problem. The author re-establishes the norms of the target under the foundation of art design curriculum content which should reflect the three dimensions of basic curriculum cultured objectives, that is the content of Subjectivity and potential.Chapter V: The conditions to achieve the reform of curriculum setting in art design of our country.To have a comprehensive survey of the basic curriculum setting of art design in our country at the current, As well as to get optimized solutions of the basic curriculum setting of art design from digesting an summarizing the previous studies, the author discusses from three areas separately which are the basic curriculum of the major system optimization, construction of teachers and the curriculum of basic evaluation criteria.
