Firstly, the thesis explains the concept of er-wang tie-xue style and, reviews the tradition and development of the style and, analyzes the phenomenon of bei-xue taking place of tie-xue and monotonous calligraphy style. The writer discusses Shen Yinmo and others reviving and developing the er-wang style on their theories, thought, works , education and so on. Furthermore, the thesis investigates the functions of main artists and the calligraphy circles after them. Basic of this, the writer analyzes the external factor of the development of er-wang style from the angles of history, culture ,thoughts and, the internal causes that make the er-wang style reviving and developing by studying the internal laws of calligraphy itself.
