A Study On Peasant Stratas' Changes In Jin-Sui Anti-Japanese Rural Base Area

Class division, one kind of the social systems, can be specified by different stratas. Different stratas of the same class do exist differences. Changes between stratas are bound to trigger changes in the structure of society and impact on social development.This article, by examining the different peasant stratas in Jin-sui rural anti-Japanese bases, is intended to explore the characteristics and trends of stratas' changes, to reveal the reasons for the changes and its impact on the society so as to have an objective understanding of the changes.Based on the situation of stratas changes in Jin-sui Rural Anti-Japanese Bases, the whole paper consists of four parts. The first part introduces the different peasant stratas' situations before and after the establishment of bases from the political and economic aspects and discovers that peasant' political, economic and social status develop progressively in convergence. The second part is about the characteristics and trends of peasant stratas. By analyzing the specific situations of peasant stratas, there are two characteristics: farm laborers and poor peasants progressive transformation and some rich peasants go downward. Meanwhile middle peasants expand, and the class structure of rural bases forms "expansion of the middle and narrow of the two ends"situation. Such changes under non-formal forces cause the excitation of peasant' national identity and consciousness. They begin to take active part in the anti-Japanese activities. The third part deals with the reasons for stratas' changes. Peasant' change is the basis while the social contradition is the main reason, the social reform policies are the key sections to promote the stratas' changes and ensure the outcome of changes. The fourth part summarizes the impact resulting from the peasant stratas' changes in the bases. On the one hand, they impact on the rural society, The tremendous changes in the social outlook, peasant' diverse development, and changes in the bases' poduction and life style. On the other hand, they have impact on the unequal relationship between peasants and the traditional landowners. At the same time, they are helpful for the Communist Party of China to adjust the stratas' relationship and balance the interests of all walks of life. The final part concludes the situations of peasant stratas' changes in Jin-sui anti-Japanese rural Bases.Peasants are the mainstray of the anti-Japanese base areas and properly handling the issue of peasants can stabilize and consolidate the anti-Japanese base areas, and promote comprehensive social development in bases. The paper researches on the stratas' changes in the anti-Japanese bases, and concludes the experience of dealing with social stratas' changes with the expectation of providing implementation for social sratification changes in the contemporary society and a positive reference for the rural areas construction.
