Studies On Jin Yufu's Research In Northeast History

Mr.Jin Yufu is a well-known historican of our contry in the early 20th centrury who is famous for his research of the northeast history as well as some local data compilations.His studing on history can be divided into three periods: the initial period (from 1922 to the Japanese aggressive war against China), the summit period (from the Japanese aggressive war till 1949), and the later period (after 1949) .In his early time he specialized in collecting and compiling some local data compilations.He composed and came out the books with the name of《Compilation in Liaodong area》,《Collections of the northeast China. In his summit period he began to research mainly in the area of special history. He finished the representative works---《Historical data compilation of Bohai》,《General History in Northeast China》and《Histories in Song Liao and Jin Dynasties》and another representative work《Historical Science on Chinese History》during this period. In his later time he specialized in the histories of Tang dynasty, Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the histories of Liao and Jin dynasties. Meanwhile he still put his heart into the research of the local history of the northeast areas as well as the history of Bohai area.He divided the northeast history into six stages: the developing stage of Han nationality, the contending stage between Donghu and Fuyu minorities, the rejuvenation of Han nationality, the contending stage among Mohe, Qidan, Nvzhen and Mongolia nationalities, contending stage between Han and Nvzhen minorities and the mixturing stage among all nationalities in the northeast part of China.He also divided the ancient nationality in the northeast of China into four kinds---Han nationality, Shushen nationality, Fuyu nationality and Donghu nationality. All those created the history of northeast China and formed part of the Chinese people.Mr.Jin laid stress on collecting mertials about the history of Bohai area in his research process of the northeast history and he compiled《Historical Data Compilation of Bohai》which mainly recounted the transmutations of nationalities in Bohai area as well as some materials that Liao defeated Bohai and set up Dong Dan country and historical materials of Bohai people. These materials covers nearly 400 years. They are full and accurate. His coutributions to the researching field of the northeast history has two sides. One is that he has collected the materials scattered at home and broad on Bohai history which have taken an important part in the researching field of Bohai history, the other is that he could make an accurate judgment about the materials not recorded or recorded not clearly in Bohai history. He tries his best to fully recover Bohai history as it is. His opinions at this aspect are authoritative.Mr.Jin Yufu ,a pioneer and founder in the research field of the northeast history ,compiled《General History in Northeast China》《,Histories of Song Liao Jin》,《Historical Data Compilation of Bohai》which are still important to scholars with the research of the northeast history and they have great academy value and influence .
