Ba People is one of the important tribes of ancestors for modern Chinese people. They initiated the brilliant ancient Ba Culture in the the Pre-Qin Period, and brought far-reaching influence to the afterworld. According to many researches, Tujia ethnic minority is the direct descendent of Ba People. The profound cultural connotation and special humanistic aesthetic values exhibited in Tujia ethnic minority's dressing are the unrenewable unique cultural resources, and we should attach great importance to the uncovering and protection of them to enhance the fame of this minority area and boost the continuable economic and cultural development of the local area. On the basis of Dressing Esthetics, Dressing Culture, History, Ethnology, Folklore, Archaeology, and Sociology and so on, and combined by the historical, cultural and geographical background of Ba People's dressing as a breakthrough point, and the full use of the on-the-spot inspect of the current situation of the part of Ba Culture inherited from Tujia ethnic minority's dressing and the related materials the author collected, this thesis will analyze the unique aesthetic interest and the affluent cultural connotation of Ba Culture reflected in the Tujia ethnic minority's (descendent of the Ba People) dressing token. And furthermore extend the research vision of Ba Culture, exhibit the charm of national dressing, enhance the sense of pride and confidence in our own nation, and develop the national spirits. This paper aims to explore a new research area in the national dressing culture, enlighten the innovation of modern national dressing style, and provide an useful thinking mode to the harmonious development of the minority areas.
