Xie Jin was a distinguished litterateur, calligraphist and scholar at the beginning of Ming Dynasty. Xie Jin presided over composing and amending "Yong Le Da Dian", which was his sumpreme achievement in his life. He made the far-reaching effect on the development of Chinese culture and even world culture. However, as far as the writer knows, the academe didn't have enough learning, concerning or study about Xie Jin's verse and calligraphy, which was almost a "cold academic field". This thesis tried to lucubrate and grasp as a whole the calligraphic theory, the beauty-enjoying theory and the style of art of Xie Jin's verse; Furthermore, combining the theory,the particular style and the representing technique of his calligraphy, it further probed the interrelation among them. Using Xie Jin's works about verse and calligraphy and the relation between them as the starting point, the thesis probed the accomodating characteristic, the performance and the inner essence between them. It's of importance to study the relation between verse and calligraphy of the famous cultural person.
