The Search Of Mencius's Morality Cultivation Theory

Virtuous humanity thought is the foundation of Mencius's morality cultivation theory. Kind nature is due to king heart which is in the possession of human only. The kind nature is endowed by heaven and we have to maintain it. Mencius demonstrated from the level of experience and the level of Transcendental that this "Heart" was the production of law of the universe Heaven reflecting on the human, so they have the function of linking the heaven and the human . But in the process of an ethical practice, a man often lose this heart because of the Hoodwinking of the materials which are out of the heart. Therefore, human should resort to itself, establish confidence and seek for the exilic heart in a gradual and orderly manner so as to reserve the precious human nature which is different from the animals' and achieve the success of the human." The first meaning come from the distinguish between man and the animals. Man can't be reconcile to the degeneration like an animal and Mencius's morality cultivation theory spir the effort upward whose purpose is a man on the meaning of the intrinsic quality. And the second meaning cones from the superposition of beneficence between the heaven and the human. A man can achieve the enormously free situation which ends in a saint if he cultivates his heart and nature. Therefore Mencius's morality cultivation theory can edify the confidence of uptilting. On the one hand, this effort displays great function in the traditional culture, on the other hand ,it has the unique worth in the contemporary society which is the mainstay of renaissance of nationality.
