In the past ten years, the English teaching of higher vocational schools has been more and more valued. With the yearly increase of economical globalization and the number of university students, obviously the traditional education model and teaching method can not meet such a request .The modern information technology development and the application have brought the turning point for English teaching reform, and they are gradually accepted by numerous teachers and students. However, in the actual application, there are still some problems from the teachers' understanding about the information technology to the concrete application of technology. If we don't study and handle these questions, they are disadvantageous to English educational reform.In 2004, "University of English Teaching Requirements (Trial)" on the University's English Curriculum issued by the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education clearly stipulates: "The designs of the college English courses should simultaneously play the advantages of traditional classroom teaching, encourage outstanding teachers to teach appropriate courses in the classroom teaching, and combine web-based teaching and computer courses." In the teaching modes it also provides: "Universities should make full use of multimedia and network technology, adopt new teaching models to improve the single classroom teaching mode mainly by teachers' teaching. The new teaching model should be supported by modern information technology, especially on a network of technical means, so that English learning in the personalized learning, free from the constraints of time and place of learning, active Learning direction". Reform of the traditional university English teaching model, foundation of the new model of networking and foreign language self-study, and the rapid improvement of students' ability of English comprehensive application to achieve the best learning purpose are important subjects that China's current foreign language teaching of colleges and universities face.Vocational schools teaching English new model of modern information technology should be supported, especially on a network of technical means (that is, remote on-line), so that English learning in the personalized learning, free from the constraints of time and place of learning, active Learning direction. New teaching model should be able to fully mobilize the teachers and students in two areas of active, in particular to establish students in the process of teaching the dominant position. Through the Internet and computer software, students can be the basis according to their own, interests, preferences, needs and their own arrangements for the time a selective and targeted learning. However, in practical applications, from the teachers of information technology to understand the specific application of technology there are still some problems, these problems are not for research and treatment, the English teaching reform is negative.Based on referring to some domestic and foreign research literature, combining the goal of English teaching of higher vocational schools, this article carries on some beneficial probes into how to fully use the modern information technology, improve the English teaching quality of higher vocational schools and the transform the English educational model. It has also expounded the network's application and the superiority in developing student's independent learning capability.The author thinks that we should strengthen the proportion of information technology in English class, increase the interest and usability of teaching, and transform from the traditional teaching model of "taking the teacher as the center" or "taking the student as the center" to the "mixed" educational model, which is to put the "teaching" and "learning" into an equal status and emphasize teaching benefits teacher and student alike. Under the assistance of information technology, student's study should be multi-dimensional, and it can't be restricted in the classroom merely.
