The local new education is developed quickly when Qingdao is occupied by Germany. It lays a good foundation for further development. The research of the new education of Qingdao in this period helps to understand history and status quo of the development of the education in Qingdao.In 1897, the German Empire occupies Jiaozhou Bay as its concession making excuse for "Juye Event" and announces Shandong Province under its control. Considering the colonial policies and the needs of energy plundering, the colonial authority of Germany makes large-scale economic construction, as well as cultural invasion. Through developing the new education in Qingdao, Germany tries to build Qingdao as its cultural center in the Middle East so as to promote its own economic interests and to spread Germany spiritual life in China. Although Qingdao experiences a colonized period by German, it is clear that the establishment of new education in Qingdao promotes the development of local education. As a result, Qingdao becomes one of the first cities which set up new education. It also makes a strong impact on the development of education in Qingdao. Referring to "interaction" method during colonization, this paper attempts to analysis the start and development of the new education of Qingdao under German Capture, as well as its impact..In this paper, history, sociology, education knowledge are synthetically used to research the structure of the new education of Qigndao under German capture. Firstly, beginning from the start of the new education of Qingdao under German capture, this paper discloses its historical background and reasons of development from domestic and foreign factors. Secondly, it focuses on the specific process and discusses the development and achievement from several aspects which are basic education, vocational education, higher education, education forms, teaching content, teaching methods and educational goals. At last, this paper summarizes the great influences of the new education of Qingdao under German capture. Referring to "interaction theory" of Western colonialism, the open and management of Germany-China Qingdao Special Higher School shows the interaction between Germany and China during imperialism period.
