The push of china's reform and open-up policy and rapid development of social economy have improved people's living standard tremendously . Education undertaking has flourished and the education for all-round development has been wildly accepted. As parents'understanding towards this kind of education has been deepened, they input more towards education. Some parents choose to let their children learn the violin, which not only propels the development of the education of the violin, but also requires even higher towards education.As the number of violin teachers in the 1980s is far less than the rocket-increasing students, the traditional teaching mode of"one-for-one"cannot satisfy those students. Accordingly, the mode of collective teaching becomes a supplement. What's more, as the mode of collective teaching possesses many unique advantages, it has been popularized further. However, some teachers still adopts the mode of"one-for-one"to teach the violin, some problems yet exist in the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country which bottles up its development. Obviously, the research and improvement of the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country are of great theoretical and practical significance.In order to get an overall view towards the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country, this thesis introduces the development history and relevant theoretical achievements of the violin teaching and its collective teaching, which function as theoretical basis for the whole thesis. Then, this thesis mainly studies the status quo of the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country by means of survey and statistics.In eight cities(Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenyang, Changsha, Nanning, the questionnaires on the collective teaching of the violin have been sent out to hundreds of students and their parents who take part in the violin study with the way of the collective teaching for the purpose of getting thorough and persuasive statistics. About 400 questionnaires have been sent out and 352 ones have been collected. By analyzing the statistics in the questionnaires, the thesis points out that some problems of the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country: subtle teaching ideals, un-oriented purposes of teaching, unscientific ways of teaching, old-fashioned method of teaching, loose teaching administration and imperfect system of teaching assessment.Based on the problems existing in the collective teaching, the author's own experience and relevant music teaching theories home and abroad, such as the collective teaching of Suzuki violin, that of XuDuoqin, music teaching of Owerf and that of Kodai etc, this thesis puts forward the following suggestions:1. In the aspect of teaching theories, it is suggested that the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country should provide amateur art teaching and the theories should be"happy teaching","teaching to cultivate corporation spirit","teaching to cultivate creativity"and"teaching to merge with national music".2. Regarding to teaching aims, the author, based on theories and reality, brings forward three accesses to the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country i.e."the access of studying happily","the access of taking part in examinations of different levels gradually"and"the access of cultivating specialized talents"3. Referring to teaching method, the author holds that by starting from children's experience and apperception towards music, they would have great interest and happy feelings through such music games, and the technical practice can be introduced later. also, the author made some supplements towards the teaching procedure of professor XuDuoqin, regards that the part of"music experience"should be emphasized and divides the procedure system of collective teaching for children into four parts. i.e.,"testing-experiencing- practice- improvisational creation". The author also, by learning from the excellent music teachings of foreign countries, advises that the study of music elements and the overall apperception towards music should be placed before the technical training so as to finish the teaching of this part by applying the excellent methods of foreign countries.4. In teaching management, the author sets forth"teaching management system of different levels"based on XuDuoqin's management experience of teaching and theories. During the whole writing process of this thesis, the author, in order to combine the theories and practice together, proof-test and correct her own theories, has taught the students in two classes in Danyi Art School in Guilin, Guangxi province for two years and has studied and put the theories into practice in Front Violin Art Center for three months. The author also has discussed about the collective teaching of the violin with the teaching majordomo ZhangYongli and the whole staff in Fulante, which makes the views in this thesis more acceptable and puts the theories into primary practice in teaching.In general , this thesis makes a thorough analysis on the main problems existing in the collective teaching of the violin for children in our country , the direction of development and brings forward some suggestions correspondingly by the way of questionnaires, teaching practices and studies of the advanced teaching theories of music home and abroad.
