The Post Occupation Evaluation Initial Research On The Urban Comprehensive Parks

The urban comprehensive parks is closely related to people's lives. As times change, its content and function also have some changes, leading to some problems that happened in the use of park can not be ignored. In view of this, starting from the park,user and their interaction, the theory of post occupation evaluation(POE) will be applied in urban comprehensive parks to find existing problems of park design and management.Looking back on the urban comprehensive parks and the theory of post occupation evaluation, this study analyze the factors which impact the use of the park. Through actual case -the study of Nanjing Xuanwu Lake Park, the procedure and methods which post occupation evaluation is in the use of the urban comprehensive parks are discussed .In the actual case, mainly starting from the elements of composing park and the user, through the analysis of documents, the acts of observation and evaluation of the survey and statistics , analyze and evaluate the park function of recreation, park elements, the active characteristics of users, and explore the socio-economic background of the users of the users and the frequency of play on the impact of the evaluation.In conclusion, we draw plants, water bodies, activities, prices are the most important factors which affect park assessment. Through factor analysis, we conclude four major factors that evaluation of the park is affected: activities and quality of design, health and terrain, transport and the urban environment, plants. The main types of activities of people in the park are walk, watch and rest. Against the findings of the assessment, we will card the characteristics of various methods and research procedures. build the evaluation elements of the park , suggest improvements to Xuanwu Lake Park and city comprehensive park design in view of the research results. In a word, this study provide references for the relevant research.
