Probe Of Cold Color

A group of young writers, who are called"writers born in 1970s", have attracted people's attention in the contemporary literature since the middle of 1990s. Jin Renshun, as one of the writers, has shown her different aesthetic pursuit. In her medium-length novels and short stories that she is good at, she makes her novel diffuse the cold color everywhere, by using the grim topic, cold background and narrative style. This paper explores the cold color in her novels deeply on the basis of the other scholars` researches. In the narration of her novel, calm and restrained language shows her mature critical standpoint. The development of plot which seems accidental always follows the certain laws, and it is difficult to understand figures'fate and result. Through the abundant imagination, she uses"metaphor"ingeniously in her novels. She always pays attention to the intrinsic secret space of humanities or some emotional state which cannot be expressed by language in the indifferent world in theme performance. Also, she can capture the key of those details clearly and extend some rich human nature: the hurt in the complex and volatile marries and loves the concealed sadness during the process of a teenager's growth, the real human nature hidden in past events of Korea under cold atmosphere, women's fragile adamancy and men's embarrassing situation.
