Altruistic Behavior And The Origin And Evolution Of Ethics

Any society needs ethics, and the research of ethic issues is eternally significant to human society's development. Studying the origin and evolution of ethic issues inevitably involve an important concept: Altruism. The ethic is manifest through behaviors, either human beings or animals, or other species, all biological community's activity concerns with the altruistic behaviors. It is not difficult to discover that the scholars vary in their definition of ethics, but they don't exclude the idea that study object stems from the analysis of population's altruistic behavior. The research into altruistic behavior fills the vacancy in the ethics. Based on this kind of theoretical frame, animal behavior and the question of human natural disposition might obtain reasonable explanation.In the entire development of self-realization of human beings, most of the studies have entered in the scientific research sight. Human's ethics had already undergone three stages: interpersonal ethics, social ethics and environmental ethics. Should ethics which takes ethic or friendliness as object be liberated from standard ethics? Is it feasible to establish a scientifically testable description system? Does ethic evolution have a definite explanation? There are questions ethics argued at present, and also the questions the author diligently ponders and carefully strives for answers.The above issues need further study. The author tries to seek for some new breakthrough points and this article attempts to do in the aspect. Taking Professor Zheng huizi's"space and time completeness"as the methodology principle in the theoretical foundation, this study has conducted the thorough analysis research into human altruism and its ethic origin and evolution. We know that ethics at the third stage of development- -Environmental Ethics attempts to help to study ethic from the science angle. The research into ethic science are coped with in terms of two aspects- -ethics kinematics research and dynamics research. Taking the ethic kinematics research approach , this paper embarks a discussion on human ethics during the period of origin and evolution. By comparing animal and humanity's altruistic behaviors, I review all kinds of altruism based on the Western theories and the controversy between them, and analysis people's ultra in social practice between the human individuals and between the communities, This paper comes to the following conclusions: human's essence lies in all social relations; as a species of ethics, human beings are surrounded by other people. The cultural evolution is in inevitable process the human society development, Thus, altruistic behaviors among human beings are inevitably bound to diffuse and progress in the process of cultural evolution.
