An Analysis Of The Social Ideological Trend In 1903 Based On Zhe-Jiang Chao

Zhe-jiang Chao was an important press which had established by Chinese students who studied in Japan in the beginning of the 20th .The rich content contained in Zhe-jiang Chao reflects objectively the intricateness of Chinese society in 1903 which was a transitional period in Chinese Modern history; also it exactly retracts the change and development of each trend this year. If we study the social trend in 1903 by analyzing the papers in Zhe-jiang Chao instead of using the traditional way, we can find out a richer and more complicated change, some trend was rising, some trend declining. Certainly we can see overseas Chinese students' thoughts which were characteristic of change and patriotic enthusiasm.This paper has analyzed and elaborated the social ideological trend in 1903and its characteristics, based on an analysis of Zhe-jiang Chao initially. It is divided into four chapters:In chapter I, the basic condition of the zhe-jiang chao, include the editor, distribution, writer, back grounding of running ,publicized characteristics, the main content and so on, have been introduced in order to the basic situation to be illustrated for.In Chapter II, the main social ideological trend in 1903 have been sorted out and synthesized according to the content of Zhe-jiang Chao .Its' focus the developing situation of the political ideological trend including the ideological trend in constitutional reform and modernization, the ideological trend inrevolutionary nationalism and the ideological trend in regional autonomy; At same time it analyzed the practical epitomize of the cultural ideological trend consist of the ideological trend that science saves the nation, the ideological trend that education save the nation and the ideological trend of evolving in this year, probing into the expansion and deepening of the ideological trend that the industry saves the nation in economic field.In Chapter III, the characteristics of the social ideological trend in 1903 based on this press have been summarized. The content of the social ideological trend in 1903 is rich and varied .The patriotism ran through all ideological trends. Reforming and revolution are the two main themes which not only exist together but also struggle each other in 1903.
