The Campaign of People's Commune is the consequence of the Great Leap Forward Movement in 1958. Socialization and the first five-year plan were accomplished ahead of time which made Mao Zedong, the top leader of China at that time, to think about the strategic change of China's economic development. In his mind, the development of china's economy should be accelerated as well. After the argument between rash advancement and anti-rash advancement in economic development policies happened in 1956 and 1957,China made the leap forward economic development policies and decided to implement these policies in rural areas at first. The development movement of farmland irrigation facilities was the prelude of agricultural rush advancement. In the process of farmland irrigation facilities development, agricultural cooperation communities were inclining to integrate into one big community spontaneously. This phenomenon attracted attention of central governors. In the aftermath, people's communities were set up in Xinyang, He Nan province led by central government. Besides agriculture, industry, schools and even public eateries were also included in this kind of people's communities. Mao Zedong was very interested in this new type of grass root organization in rural areas. He puffed it when he inspected in He Bei, Shan Dong and He Nan. The whole nation began to set up rural people's communities after reported by People's Daily and other Medias. Then leaders of Communist Party of China ratified The resolution about building people's community in the country of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee which were published on People's Daily afterwards. Then the campaign of people's community arrived to the peak.The Chinese Communist Party Central Committee made abundant propaganda to build people's community in the whole country wide as soon as possible. She used every method to propaganda what the people's community is, whether the people's community good or bad, how to build the people's community, why to build the people's community. In the processing of propaganda all kinds of medias put emphasis on the relation between the people's community and socialist construction, and the relation between the people's community and the communist society in the future, and suggested that the people's community is the bridge to excess the beautiful communist society stage by stage. Recur to the abundant propaganda, this campaign only took more than one month to achieve the goal, people's community has built in the whole rural country.This thesis will inspect the propaganda and the mobilization in this campaign from different angles, rounding characters propaganda voice propaganda and image propaganda in the Campaign of People's Commune. This thesis researches on four problems in the propaganda and mobilization in the Campaign of People's Commune. Firstly, it inspects the propaganda about the propaganda of People's daily and the situation of Red Flag magazine and the particular effect of Dazibao in this propaganda mobilization. Secondly, it inspects the situation of the voice propaganda in this campaign. This part stresses to introduce the viewpoints on the People's Community of central leaders, and the processing of The Chinese Communist Party Central Committee build cable broadcasting networks in the rural country side in order to intensify the propaganda control in the rural country side. Thirdly, it introduces the image propaganda in this campaign, including poems cartoon and exhibition, which loved by the masses and has great mobilization effectiveness. In the end, this thesis summarizes and analyzes the characteristics in The Campaign of People's Community, such as highly systematic, romanticaziton and politicalization.The propaganda and mobilization in the Campaign of People's Commune is a typical case in the propaganda history of CPC. The research on the propaganda and mobilization in this campaign will contribute to understand why the People's Community has built in less than half one year in the whole rural country side. And also, the research on the propaganda and mobilization can contribute to better understand the propaganda policies propaganda methods and strategies in this period. The historical inspection on the propaganda and mobilization can contribute to describe a rich and varied historical picture for us, which will widen the field of view in the research of the History of CPC and the History of Contemporary China.
