| Oboe is a typical Occident dulcimer musical instrument. A number of Chinese composers have brought its magnificent expressive force into full play and composed excellent oboe works with distinctive Chinese characteristics and national features. This thesis aimed at oboe music composed and adapted by Chinese composers as research target. It also focused on the demonstration of styles of Chinese folk music by oboe, a non-Chinese musical instrument in various perspectives (like theme, structure, melody, harmony, etc.) and the representation of national disposition by oboe music. In addition, as for the playing features, this thesis discussed the skills stemming from national music style and culture other than western oboe music for the appropriate expression of these works.This essay finally concluded how these Chinese composers achieved the successful combination of nationalization and oboe's speciality, indicating its enlightenment on the production of oboe music, as well as the meaning of studying and extending these oboe works full of distinctive national characteristics.The music of content analysis and comparison were mainly adopted during the research, while the former one was more frequently used. For example, the thesis analyzed the melody patterns of Chinese oboe works and figured out their difference from western composition. It illustrated the fact that Chinese oboe works didn't stick to one pattern in structure. Actually they learnt from but didn't crib the criterion of western music style.This research on Chinese oboe works and playing method in this thesis was to express the writer's following ideas. The composition of oboe music should be relied on excellent national tradition and integrate with the essence or yield of western oboe art. Researchers should strive to learn from the past and explore the future with creative thinking for the prosperity of Chinese oboe art. |
