Charles Colin,a French composer in the 19 th century and one of the representatives of the oboe academic teaching system,left behind a number of competition pieces specially created for oboe examinations.Because of the uniqueness of his competition pieces,Charles Colin’s oboe "Solo De Concours" has frequently appeared in domestic concerts and various examination competitions in recent years,but there is very little research and background information on the composer.This article collects and organizes the composer’s biographical materials,combines the background of his creation at that time,and analyzes the performance of his "Solo De Concours Op.33" as an example,and comprehensively expounds the characteristics of Charles Collin’s music from multiple perspectives.I hope that through this article,more oboe players can learn about the composer At the same time,it provides some help for understanding the special genre of Solo De Concours.
