On The Adaptation Of Xie Jin's Films To Contemporary Novels

Xie Jin's films have been accompanied by the growth of the Chinese community as a mirror. The discussions and debates centering on Xie's films have been one of the most important cultural phenomena in the Chinese society. Several Xie Jin's films adapted from contemporary works, although there are brochures and seminars devoted to a detailed accounting records and other information on the selection, adaptation, shooting and such other, these works together as a whole is a new inspirational work.In Xie Jin's adaptation films, there are acclaimed the Cultural Revolution trilogy, there is a criticized move the "final aristocracy", too. Overall, however, Xie Jin's films adaptation has been very successful. He was good at choosing contemporary novels, those reflecting strongly, ideological and artistic. owing broad-based audience outstanding .On the basis of respecting for the original, according to his Confucian artistic taste and enriched experience of directing job, he catered to the social mainstream as well as audiences' traditional aesthetic psyche and tastes. attracting people with unique geographical features , delighting people with various special lighting and color, gradually influencing people with beautiful and lyrical music, so Xie Jin's adaptation films have been widely welcomed.This paper is divided into three parts. In the first part (Introduction), the author gave a brief introduction about Xie Jin's films' overall achievement, writing intent and a brief explanation leading to the subject. The second part based on the comparative analysis of the contemporary novel and the adaptation films. In "Adaptation of the works of choice" part, the author introduces the new era wave of early film adaptation's causes ,the social acceptable context, the two standards of Xie Jin's choosing contemporary novels; In "adaptation strategies practice", Theme extracted from the author's home country, and the ethics code, as well as image-building and on two aspects of ideas references; In "the audio-video adaptation" part, the author briefly analyses the content features of geographical and local color. lighting and color, music and other charm in Xie Jin's adaptation films. In the third part (Conclusion), the author analyses the age factor of the adaptation films' success, Xie Jin's adaptation films' shortage ,pointing that Xie Jin should get historical evaluation.
