| This dissertation aims at finding the origin, original evolution and basic rules of the spreading of two legends. "Meiergentemen" and "Ludongzan" among Tibetan and Mongolian nationalities by using the historical-geographic comparative method. Based on this, the author analyzes the changes of their texts during their development from the angle of motifcoparison.1 To dwell on the main characteristics of the variations of the two legends existing in Mongolian and Tibetan areas and make them on the map.2 To depict the prototype, variations and the original form of these two legends.3 To describe the distribution areas of these two legends and their initial and forming periods.4 To work out the route of the spreading of these two legends.5 To use motif comparison to picture the development and evolution in the historical spreading of these two legends.
