On China's Cultural Policy Changes During The Social Transformation Period (1949-1958)

China was experiencing an important social transformation period during 1949-1958. To do further research on the past cultural policies and learning from the essence and experience of the cultural construction will do good to China's cultural development during the current social transformation period and a scientific cultural policy decision-making. Undoubtedly, all those have important academic value and practical meaning.There are five main contents of this thesis: The first part, to define the concept of social transformation, the time and transformation power, and then explained the dialectical relationship of social transformation and cultural transformation on the theoretical level. The second part, to analyze the different historical tracks and experience of cultural policy changes including the policy alternating of the old and new cultural in the transition period, the exploration of the socialistic cultural policy with Chinese characteristics and the adjustment of cultural policy after the miscarriage during the exploration of the socialistic cultural policy with Chinese characteristics. The third part, to analyze the reason of cultural changes at the beginning of the establishment of the New China which is the result of the"join forces"including the basic demand of politics and economy change, the drive of international situation, and the inherent requirements of the ruling party's legitimacy of the cultural aspirations. The fourth part, to sum up experiences and inspirations of cultural policy changes during the transition period.
