Analysis Of Chinese Detached-words

Detached words in modern Chinese is a kind of language fragment which can be got together and taken apart. So far, there are continuous discussions about it. The methodology of this paper contains typology, cognitive grammar and functional theories, promoting the development of the approach to detached word.Detached word, as a "structured construction", has its own forms of expression and structure, so as to be a self-contained existence in grammar, which is the basic point of this thesis. This paper is not just listed syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features of detached word, but is divided into three parts from the three levels to carry on the research gradually.The first part is the discussion about linguistic structure. The author describes and analyzes the phenomenon of clutch term from static level, detached word AB (with the forms) from the level of syntax and semantics, as well as analysis on the patterns and degree of AxB/B (x), finding the common character of detached words—expansion of the limited nature, can not be deduced and unavoidable. Thus, the conclusion is obvious: segregation of detached word is a grammatical structure.Based on the research of the first part, the second part is the summary of the principles of internal structure. We start it in the internal structure of language and analysis of individual components of language unit. Then we analyze the former component as verb, latter component as noun, and insert elements as marks, focusing on latter component as noun and the related fixed means. We come to the conclusion: segregation is a linguistic phenomenon with marks in it.Part three is the outline of the relative external factors of linguistic structure. We obtain the nature of the object through phenomenon to prove the explanation of the segregation of detached word. The author makes analysis on detached word by using cognitive science, typology, and functional theory of communication. Further more, we also obtain more support for the feature of "low-transitive" and "background information" of detached words.The first part of the description of the structural study is the first level, as well as infrastructure; the second part is the explanation of the first part. It is only the description, rather than explanation for the next part; based on mass linguistic reality and data collection, the third part makes a summary on the structure of language related to the external factors. Segregation of detached word is a form of grammatical structure and its fundamental cause is the promotion of communication.Detached word is unpredictable, but the phenomenon of clutch term is reasonable and interpretable. The significance of this thesis is that we are not looking for a mandatory measuring stick, but seeking the basis of explanation.This thesis makes statistics on detached word marked in "Modern Chinese Dictionary" and researches pin-term detached word exhaustively. Meanwhile, the first-hand data is adequate, strengthening the credibility of the thesis.
