During the Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty, Ceramic workers studied and produced the pigment of overglazed blue colours on the basis of five-colored pigment in Ming dynasty. From then on, five-colored porcelain really came into the area of overglazed five-coLored porcelain. Kangxi five-colored porcelain is the masterpiece of overglazed colors in Qing dynasty with the thick folk artistic style. Tt represented the highest level of the development of five-colored porcelain and had a distinctive feature of the times.Kangxi five-colors can be divided into two categories: blue-and-white five-colored decoration and five-colored overglazed decoration. Its appearing had an epoch--making meaming. Kangxi five-colored decoration had obvious stylized forms, which becomes its most famous feature, in composition, patterns, painting, imagery and the topic, etc.
