The Study On The Valency Of Verbs In Meng Zi

This paper makes a study on Verb in Meng Zi about Valence.It tries to describe all verbs'valence,verb'ability and those constituents'semantic character.Meng Zi what imitates Lun Yu has sevent chapters .Its spoken language is stronger,the language having reflentsd The fore-Qin's language.Some linguist have choosen Meng Zi as research subject.,such as Cui li bin "Verb-object Structure of Meng Zi","The Person Pronoun of Meng Zi", Jia Qihua"The research 'shi'of Meng Zi ", Lin Guisi "Research on Passive Sentences of Meng Zi". But at present verb in Meng Zi had done systematic research . The verb is to be easy to see in significance in a sentence . "The verb centre says"has been accepted abroad . Therefore , we choose Meng Zi as as research subject. , applicate Valence to study the verb of Meng Zi .This theory advocates "The verb centre says"and other constituents are attached to verb . This theory was brought to our country in the late of last century and paid great attention .But this study on ancient Chinese language in our country is limited in present . This paper wants to put this theory on the study in ancient Chinese language , gets the verb 'grammatical function of cognition and the verb of the evolution in ancient Chinese to abound Chinese grammatical theory.This paper have four parts , outlines the value of Meng Zi , the reaserch of verb in Meng Zi about Valence and application ,analyse of verb in Meng Zi about Valence. Through comprehensive study ,this paper divides all verbs in Meng Zi into six kinds.monvalent, preposition bivalent verb, bivalent verb and so on . And wo choose important verb to analyse about Valence .
